A brief history of UX design and its evolution
Although the term UX design is only 27 years old (coined in 1993 by the cognitive psychologist and designer Don Norman when he worked at Apple Computer), the history of user experience is much longer, and Tania Vieira, a user experience designer based in Lisbon, decided to map it all out.
She goes all the way back to the ancient Chinese and the ancient Greeks, but the real analysis sits in her detailed analysis of the approach in the 20th Century.
